Future openings include:
Locomotive Engineer – Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the locomotive in communication with the Conductor, Yard Planners, and RTC. Must monitor mechanical conditions, instruments, speed, etc. while in control of the train and follow all railway rules and regulations. Locomotive Engineers are typically promoted from Conductors.
Conductor – Responsible for carrying out the plans from the Yard Planners in switching of cars; including connecting and disconnecting cars. Communicate and relay all necessary information to the Locomotive Engineer and Yard Planners concerning the safe movement of the train.
Industrial Mechanics/Technicians/Apprentices – Work in our maintenance shop maintaining & repairing engines, rail cars and rail equipment.
Carman – Responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing rail cars in and outside of our shop. They use various hand tools in repairing the rail cars and are also required to be a competent welder.
Track Maintainer – Perform heavy labor in maintaining, repairing and replacing sections of the track using various hand tools, lifting devices and heavy equipment/machinery.
Forklift Operator – Works in our Distribution Center moving various products from truck to train using a forklift and other lifting devices.
Signal Maintainer – Ensures that signals and communication systems are maintained to aid in the safe and efficient movement of the trains. Responsible for regular testing, inspections and trouble shooting of these systems as required.
